1. The Harry Potter Series - By J.K. Rawling
Yes, I'll admit it... I saw the movies first, and loved the books second. But I loved them nonetheless. I'm not exactly sure why I never wrote reviews for these. But I highly doubt a book with such a following as Harry Potter would miss a few reviews from a simple blogger like me. It's got more than enough. No need to add to the pile.
2. The Fear Street Saga - By R.L. Stine
I can't even remember how old I was when I read them. But I remember loving them. And reading them over and over and over. My first taste of Young Adult fiction!! At such a young age? But still just as sweet!
3. The Count of Monte Cristo
So maybe I wasn't the biggest book reader in high school, and a book as thick as this, well that was just intimidating to me. But I read it. In fact it's one of the few books that were actually read in my entire high school career. Stuck with me ever since. It's truly an amazing book! A true classic. I'd like to say a big Thank you to my 10th grade teacher for forcing me to read this! I am eternally grateful!
4. The Outsiders
Tis a very old book, and I can't even remember when I read it. But I've loved Pony Boy ever since. He's one character I could never forget. A review from me wouldn't do it justice... I wouldn't know what to say... besides the obvious "Pony Boy I love you" comment. Yeah I think that comment is best kept to myself.
5. Shipwrecked on Padre Island
I actually didn't read this book myself. My 4th grade teacher read it to the class. How long ago was that? And I still remember it because? Well... Because it was an amazing story. I couldn't possibly write a review for it now. At least not without reading it. I'm not sure I'd want to read it though. In my childhood mind, this book was amazing, and I'd like to keep it that way. Just for sentimental reasons.
6. 1984 - By George Orwell
The first dystopia novel I ever read. One of those books that might have been boring at times but couldn't possibly receive a bad review. It makes you think. But I wrote far too many essay's about this book in highschool. One essay to many if you ask me. No more writing about this book for me. It's been overdone lol!
7. Time For Andrew and Wait Till Helen Comes - By Mary Downing Hahn
More books from my childhood. Middle School I think? Although I don't remember much about these books. I do remember loving them, and the fact that they were about ghosts. But besides that... I'm drawing a blank. Can't really write a review like that now can we?
8. Anything By Jane Austin ( Pride and Prejudice, Jane Eyre, Sense and Sensibility)
We all know why we love these books. Books like these simply don't need reviews.
9. The Hunger Games Series
The Twilight and Harry Potter Series books opened my gateway into reading. And for months I read them and reread them and wondered to myself... Was there anything else out there? Then I found The Hunger Games in an online search for books..... and thus began my journey into book blogging and the world of YA. I didn't write a review about these books simply because I didn't know places like good reads and blogger existed. But if they had... I'm sure my review would have said something like... " OMG that was AMAZING"... lol!
