Review: Vampire Academy - By Richelle Mead

 Summary
St. Vladimir’s Academy isn’t just any boarding school—it’s a hidden place where vampires are educated in the ways of magic and half-human teens train to protect them. Rose Hathaway is a Dhampir, a bodyguard for her best friend Lissa, a Moroi Vampire Princess. They’ve been on the run, but now they’re being dragged back to St. Vladimir’s—the very place where they’re most in danger. . . .
Rose and Lissa become enmeshed in forbidden romance, the Academy’s ruthless social scene, and unspeakable nighttime rituals. But they must be careful lest the Strigoi—the world’s fiercest and most dangerous vampires—make Lissa one of them forever.

Review
I'm not gonna lie.. It took me a while to finally read this book. It sat on my shelf for a while. One reason was the name. I know alot of people might be thrown off by the name Vampire Academy. Most might even make that horrible mistake and throw it in the mix with books like Twilight. This book is so not like Twilight! Filled with mystery, action, and romance. Mix in an entirely different take on vampires. And you've got your self one awesome book! I absolutely loved this book! Three words... Dimirtri and Rose! Gotta love a good forbidden romance!! I can't help it! So all and all...an AMAZING READ. If you haven't read it yet... you definitely should! Although I find it a little hard to believe that anyone hasn't read this book yet? Now on to book 2!

  1. I absolutely LOVE this series! It took me awhile to read it as well, I wasn't a big fan of the title haha. I'm really glad I got into it though! Hope you love it as much as I did :)
