Review: The Iron Knight by Julie Kagawa

Summary
My name- my True Name- is Ashallyn'darkmyr Tallyn. I am the last remaining song of Mab, Queen of the Unseelie Court.

And I am dead to her.

My fall began, as many stories do, with a girl...

To cold faery prince Ash, love was a weakness for mortals and fools. His own love had died a horrible death, killing gentler feelings the Winter Prince might have had. Or so he thought.

Then Meghan Chase- a half-human, half-fey slip of a girl- smashed through his barricades, binding him to her irrevocably with his oath to be her knight. And when all of Faery nearly fell to the Iron fey, she severed their bond to save his life. Meghan is now the Iron Queen, ruler of a realm where no Winter or Summer faery can survive,

With the unwelcome company of his archrival, Summer Court prankster Puck, and the infuriating cait sith Grimalkin, Ash begins a journey he is bound to see through its end- a quest to find a way to honor his vow to stand by Meghan's side.

To survive the Iron Realm, Ash must have a soul and a mortal body. But the tests he must face to earn these things are impossible. And along the way, Ash learns something that changes everything. A truth that challenges his darkest beliefs and shows him that, sometimes, it takes more than courage to make the ultimate sacrifice
 Review
This was a book I definitely couldn't wait to pick up! After reading it?? Well... perhaps I was a little too eager? It was altogether a "cute" addition to this amazing series. Same unforgettable characters... minus one... Yes I missed Megan... ALOT! But the chance to get a glimpse into the mind of the winter prince! Definitely something this TEAM ASH member did not want to miss! I'll admit it... I got a little angry at Ash for a while there though. How did it end... well I guess readers will just have to read and find out. I dont post spoilers!;) Four stars from me. Really liked this book... Really LOVE this series... hoping with all my heart for more books... Soon? Maybe? This Julie Kagawa fan is hooked and ready to read another!!! :D

  2. I got a little POed at Ash to, but that was expected. The surprise characters were not :o And the fact that Meghan wasn't there was probably one of the main reasons why I couldn't get into this AS MUCH as I wanted to.

Did you hear about the new Iron Fey series coming out, featuring Meghan's brother Ethan Chase?

  3. I heard she's writing a book about Megans brother but I'm really wanting a Puck book. I'm definitely team Ash and I loved being in his head for this one. I suppose I got PO'ed at him, but that was part of the journey for me so I was okay with a little up and down. Most of the time my love for him just grew. But when this one finished I just felt bad for Puck. What's he going to do now? I would like to see him find happiness.
