My first review of 2012 just had to be on something EPIC! Legend by @Marie_Lu! Definitely EPIC!

Summary

What was once the western United States is now home to the Republic, a nation perpetually at war with its neighbors. Born into an elite family in one of the Republic's wealthiest districts, fifteen-year-old June is a prodigy being groomed for success in the Republic's highest military circles. Born into the slums, fifteen-year-old Day is the country's most wanted criminal. But his motives may not be as malicious as they seem.

From very different worlds, June and Day have no reason to cross paths - until the day June's brother, Metias, is murdered and Day becomes the prime suspect. Caught in the ultimate game of cat and mouse, Day is in a race for his family's survival, while June seeks to avenge Metias' death. But in a shocking turn of events, the two uncover the truth of what has really brought them together, and the sinister lengths their country will go to keep its secrets.
Full of nonstop action, suspense, and romance, this novel is sure to move readers as much as it thrills
Review
If there's a YA Dystopian out there, this book blogger wants to read it! And when I heard about this particular book, I couldn't wait to get my hands on it! Now that I've read it and had time to process my thoughts, looks like I've got another favorite to add to my list. This book will definitely keep you reading. Call it a page turner if you must.. but there's definitely more to it than that! First off this review would not be complete without a spotlight on the overall look of the book. The title fonts and gold colored lettering was enough to make this book admirer *squee* with excitement! *looks at book admiringly* So pretty!!! Next up you've got the dual point of views. (Another thing I really loved) Being able to look at the story from both sides definitely added to it's intensity. Throw in one very thrilling altogether unforgettable story... I think we've got a winner here! lol! :)

This is one book that I'm sure you'll find on bloggers top tens for sure. I know for a fact it's got a place on mine!!

  3. Dual points of view sometimes work, then sometimes doesn't. I'm glad you though it did in this book!

  4. I loved it too and I'm not a huge dystopian fan. This one made my 2011 Best Pick list also. :)
