Review
I was totally on the fence while reading this book. I had my moments I liked and moments I didn't like so much. I loved the goth feel of the book, from the characters attitudes to their style. It was definitely a different world to experience for once. I haven't read many books like that before. The main character was a little much for me.. Could've done without the language, although it did feel like the language was necessary as well. Like I said.. I was totally back and forth with this book. Loved it, liked it, not so liked it, loved it again. All in all as a whole... I'd give this book a 3.5 - 4 star rating. It was enjoyable although a bit predictable at times. I definitely plan on reading the next one though. No doubt there. I wanted so much more from this book.. and though that didn't really happen this time around.. that's what sequels are for right! :)

I have faith in this series. I'll be buying part 2 soon. Can't wait to read it. Who knows where the story will go from here.

  1. Aww, sorry you were on the fence for this book. I hate when that happens. I've been wanting to read A Touch Mortal for awhile now, but I have been a little hesitant to purchase it because of reviews. I love goth too, so I don't know. lol. Maybe I should wait until all three is out or until you read book two to decide. But thanks so much for your review. It was very honest and straight forward, just the way I like it. :) Hope the next one will be better for you.

  2. Oooh, a "gothic" tinged-book! I am so psyched to read this one. I love the sound of it. Thanks for the review, Amanda!

  3. I had tried reading this book before and just couldn't do it. I think I got half way in and had to stop. it just wasn't for me.

  4. A Touch Morbid is AWESOME! I didn't predict anything with ATM2 but I did predict quite a few things in A Touch Mortal.

    Great review.

  5. When I finished reading its preview and found out that my cousin is in their bookstore I asked her how good is the book, then she said it's perfectly great so I told her to buy the book for me. Then I found this blog, I have a feeling that it's really nice book, I'll read it later, after blogging.
