My Review of The Catastrophic History of You and Me by Jess Rothenberg.. This book was beautiful! Truly!

Summary
Dying of a broken heart is just the beginning.... Welcome to forever.

BRIE'S LIFE ENDS AT SIXTEEN: Her boyfriend tells her he doesn't love her, and the news breaks her heart—literally.

But now that she's D&G (dead and gone), Brie is about to discover that love is way more complicated than she ever imagined. Back in Half Moon Bay, her family has begun to unravel. Her best friend has been keeping a secret about Jacob, the boy she loved and lost—and the truth behind his shattering betrayal. And then there's Patrick, Brie's mysterious new guide and resident Lost Soul . . . who just might hold the key to her forever after.

With Patrick's help, Brie will have to pass through the five stages of grief before she's ready to move on. But how do you begin again, when your heart is still in pieces?
Review
First of all I'd like to say.. Thank you to this book! I came to you during the darkest of reading slumps in hopes that perhaps you might pull me through... Mission accomplished!

This book had everything I wanted... It sparked my interest, kept me reading, and simply captivated me! I always say... If a book can make me cry.. I'll love it! Well, this book made me cry TWICE! That's saying something! Another thing I've just got to mention is the chapter titles! How clever were those! I LOVED THEM! How often does a book have you singing along with the chapters! Such a unique idea! Little touches like that were part of what made this book unforgettable to me.

Throw in the story of a girl that literally dies from a broken heart, overcomes the obstacles life and death had to offer, AND found her true love. Beautiful! This book was just that... beautiful!

I deeply adored every page! 5 stars from me! :)

  4. YAY, Amanda, this is also how I felt about this one, too! I read it in one sitting and it's one of the few ARCs I've read this year that I HAD to buy a finished copy of! I laughed and cried and and it was just so amazing.
