My Review of Insurgent by Veronica Roth! Glad to report, I am still obsessed with Four! ;)

Summary
One choice can transform you—or it can destroy you. But every choice has consequences, and as unrest surges in the factions all around her, Tris Prior must continue trying to save those she loves—and herself—while grappling with haunting questions of grief and forgiveness, identity and loyalty, politics and love.

Tris's initiation day should have been marked by celebration and victory with her chosen faction; instead, the day ended with unspeakable horrors. War now looms as conflict between the factions and their ideologies grows. And in times of war, sides must be chosen, secrets will emerge, and choices will become even more irrevocable—and even more powerful. Transformed by her own decisions but also by haunting grief and guilt, radical new discoveries, and shifting relationships, Tris must fully embrace her Divergence, even if she does not know what she may lose by doing so.
Review
It’s feels like I’m reading nothing but sequels this year. Incredibly awesome sequels of course! And this book will just have to be added to that list! Divergent was by far one of the best books I read last year. It earned a raving review from me, constant recognition on my blog, and my slight (not really all that slight) obsession with Four! I’m happy to report that obsession has only increased after reading book two. Book two had it all! Everything that made Divergent so great and more! We follow Tris back into her world filled with action, adventure, and romance! (Although I could have gone for a little more romance) Just saying ;) Tell you one thing, this book keeps you reading. Down to the very… last… page!! And oh boy is that last page a doozy! I’m still trying to recover from this one! Gotta love YA and their cliffhangers!!! When it all comes down to it.. This book doesn’t disappoint at all. It provides just enough to please any Divergent fan, and that little bit extra to keep us itching for more!! I’m totally aching to read book three! This book reader needs more!

  1. Awesome! I really need to get around to reading these.

And I think there's definitely a balance needed when it comes to cliffhangers...but it sounds like Roth did a good job with that lol. :)

  2. Great review!! For a BIG book I read this really fast. It only took me two days of reading during my kiddo's naps an after she went to bed to finish. It takes that long for me to read books half the size sometimes. It was definitely a page turner that I couldn't put down.
