That ending!! Gah that ending!!! My Review of Until I Die (Revenants #2) by Amy Plum

Summary
Kate and Vincent have overcome the odds and at last they are together in Paris, the city of lights and love.

As their romance deepens there’s one question they can’t ignore: How are they supposed to be together if Vincent can’t resist sacrificing himself to save others? Although Vincent promises that he’ll do whatever it takes to lead a normal life with Kate, will that mean letting innocent people die? When a new and surprising enemy reveals itself, Kate realizes that even more may be at stake—and that Vincent’s immortality is in jeopardy.

In Die for Me, Amy Plum created a captivating paranormal mythology with immortal revenants and a lush Paris setting. Until I Die is poised to thrill readers with more heart-pounding suspense, spellbinding romance, and a cliff-hanger ending that will leave them desperate for the third and final novel in the series.

My Review

I totally loved the first book in this series. So it wasn’t a stretch to say that I had some high hopes for this one! The cover is absolutely beautiful, just like the first. The writing style about Paris and the world of the revenants, beautiful as well.
I loved being brought back into Kate and Vincent’s would. Joining them as they struggled to overcome all the obstacles their love throws in their way.  Being in love with an immortal can’t possibly be easy. After reading this book, I can honestly say, it’s definitely not.
A lot goes down in this book. We’re given the opportunity to learn more about the revenants, more about all the characters (including some new ones), and we’re even given a whole new mystery to solve!
Who’s the champion?? I have my theories!!! I’m hoping I’m right! ;)
I’m still trying to get over the ending to this book. YA authors are known for their cliff hangers, and this ending definitely fits right in with the rest. I nearly threw the book at the wall! Seriously! Not a bad thing though, I promise! Lol!
All in all, this is yet another great book in what’s turning out to be, one of my favorite series! Worthy of a five star rating from me! I honestly can’t wait for the next one. After an ending like that, I’ll be biting my nails in anticipation till release day!

  1. This ending really is a killer, it is up there with Pandemonium by Lauren Oliver for me. I have my theories as well and I cannot wait to see if I'm right. Great review.

  2. Ack! I haven't read the first book, but I guess i'm missing out BIG TIME. Call me shallow, but I would honestly consider picking it up at a bookstore based on that cover alone! Great review, btw! :)

  3. Wasn't that ending something else? Sheesh, such a long wait to find out what is going to happen. I don't hold out much hope. I wouldn't be surprised if she was just delusional with grief. So very sad.

  5. I wasn't blown away by the first book, but I decided to give this one a shot. I was - again - disappointed, but because of that killer ending, I need to read the last one too. She did a wonderful job to keep me reading, haha. Great review :)
