There is need. And then there is Fate...
Being destined to become some kind of supernatural electrical outlet isn't exactly awesome--especially when Alexandria's "other half" is everywhere she goes. Seth's in her training room, outside her classes, and keeps showing up in her bedroom--so not cool. Their connection does have some benefits, like staving off her nightmares of the tragic showdown with her mother, but it has no effect on what Alex feels for the forbidden, pure-blooded Aiden. Or what he will do--and sacrifice--for her.
When daimons infiltrate the Covenants and attack students, the gods send furies--lesser gods determined to eradicate any threat to the Covenants and to the gods, and that includes the Apollyon... and Alex. And if that and hordes of aether-sucking monsters didn't blow bad enough, a mysterious threat seems willing to do anything to neutralize Seth, even if that means forcing Alex into servitude... or killing her.

Books like this are the reason I read! I have to take my time while writing this review. It honestly deserves so much more than my usual gushing remarks. Gotta pull out the thesaurus for this one... What's another word for AWESOME? or BRILLIANT? How about freakin AMAZING!!!... This book was all that and more! I laughed, I cried... I smiled like a total goofball... ALOT! :D

I cried for like 20 pages! Possibly more! I was AMAZED!
Have I gushed enough? I think not!!! I haven't read a book that I've loved this much in a while. (And I've read alot of great books this year) This book tops all of those!
At the moment I'm actually fighting every urge to pick up the book and read it again! I didn't want it to stop! I only wish it were longer! 300 pages? Hardly enough! I need more! More Aiden, more Seth.. More ALEX! (She's freakin awesome!) No doubt.. Alex.. your my new favorite heroine!!!

I love a book that makes you go through a range of emotions. I haven't read the first book in this series but it sounds really good. Maybe I'll have to move it up my TBR pile.

Jennifer L Armentrout is just freaking amazing!! Her books are all on my top faves list! I cannot get enough. I absolutely loved Pure and am dying for more Alex, Aiden, and Seth!!
