Top Ten Tuesday: Confessions of a Book Blogger

Hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

I was supposed to post a review today. That was the plan. But this week's Top Ten Tuesday topic was way to interesting to pass up!

This Week's Topic
Join us in spilling our deepest held secrets around one of our most beloved pastimes. Everyone has a bookish confession. What's yours?

1. I don't request books. I never have and probably never will.
I'll often accept requests from authors or publishers. But I don't ask for books. Part of it might be me being a little shy. And there's that whole "fear of rejection" thing lol.. But as far as ARCs go.. I can wait for the release. I've got too many books on my pile as it is.

2. I love to enter book giveaway's but will almost never tweet about them. I don't wanna come off as that blogger that enters too many giveaways lol! I know. I'm sneaky! ;)
I will tweet a few. Occasionally. But hardly ever.

3. I can't stand when non-reading people say they hate books or hate to read, or bad mouth books in any way. The array of emotions I feel when that happens (and it happens often) are just... Well let's just say it isn't pretty.
And odds are.. I'll like them just a bit less after that. Yup.

4. I stare at my bookshelf. Everyday. Sometimes for long periods of time. Sometimes multiple times a day and secretly want to cover my entire room with floor to ceiling book shelves!
My boyfriend doesn't know this, but I'm secretly building this floor to ceiling bookshelf one bookshelf at a time! It will get there! I promise! ;)

5. I don't write long reviews because I won't read them.
Sorry guys. If your a long review writer, odds are, I won't ever read them. I just don't have the time. When I'm looking up a book and browsing reviews, I'm looking for short and to the point! I don't need an essay.

6. I have a favorite book store I buy from online that has ridiculously AMAZING sales.. but I won't tell anyone about it because I'm afraid too many people will find out and take all the books I want before I can buy them.
(I'm a greedy little book blogger, I'm not proud lol)
Last friday I got Rift by Andrea Cremer, The Rise of Nine by Pittacus Lore, Spark by Amy Kathleen Ryan, Girl of Nightmares by Kendra Blake, Wake by Amanda Hocking, Once by Anna Carey, Amelia Anne is Dead and Gone by Kat Rosenfield and Heaven and Hades by Alexandra Adornetto for 30 bucks!
Don't even try asking what store it is.. I won't tell you!!!! lol! ;)

7. My books need to match!! If I have hardcovers in a series, the entire series has to be hardcover. Or if the publisher changes the covers, I WILL RE-BUY THEM! They have to match!!
It appears this has been happening a lot more often lately. Book's keep getting redone. So I've been slacking on the rebuying.. but they will be re-bought.. someday! Trust me! lol!

8. I'm actually a little bit scared of the world ending in 2012 simply because City of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare doesn't release until next year and I can't even imagine my life ending without being able to read that book first!
I need to finish this series! Then the world can do whatever it wants!

9. I'd move to Austin / Houston / Dallas tomorrow if I could! There's so much book stuff that goes on there, I dread every event I miss!
Being only a mere 4 or 5 hours away from these EPIC events.. It's torture! Pure torture!

10. I am and always will be a Twilight Fan.
No explanation required! ;)

  6. 'I need to finish this series! Then the world can do whatever it wants!' Now that is a testament to a great book! Lol. I'm a little behind on TMI, but hopefully I will have a chance to catch up before the end of the world!

Oh, and #6? $30 for all those books? WOW! That is a well kept secret!

  7. OMG Amanda!! I said the same!! If I die before City of Heavenly fire comes out I will be really pissed in the after life. I don't give a shit about the world's ending as long as I get my book to finish the serie <3 <3
